Our Investment Casting Process
At Mangal Invest Cast, we leverage an automation-driven manufacturing process to ensure our products meet your project requirements. This ensures consistent design, efficient output, and scalable production.
Here’s how our production process works:
Wax Pattern
Injecting wax into engineered molds and creating the tree assembly.
Shell Building
Investing the tree into a ceramic slurry and air-drying it to create the shell.
Dewaxing
Placing the shells in a furnace to melt the wax and strengthen it.
Pouring
Gravity pouring the molten alloy and allowing it to solidify into shape.
Separation & Finishing
Knocking out the castings and grinding off excess.
Secondary Operations
Machining, heat treating, and surface treating castings.
Inspection
Pre-delivery NDT checks using multiple modern instruments to ensure compliance with established standards.
All production is carried out in-house, allowing us to deliver a high degree of dimensional consistency across production runs.

Suitability of Investment Casting across Industries
Numerous producers across industries partner with investment casting manufacturers. This is due to the many benefits, including consistent geometry, accurate tooling, and near-net shape, which together reduce the cost of ownership.
- Automotive: Produce high-performance parts like fuel system components and sensor housings.
- Aerospace: Cast turbine blades and manifold components using superalloys.
- MedTech: Deliver hyper-precise orthopaedic components, dental instruments, and surgical tools.
- Food Processing: Producing various components such as slicers, grinders, and nozzles, which are low-maintenance, precise, and hygiene-centric.
- General Engineering: Fabricating valve components, pump parts, and housings, and hand tools.
Note: Application-specific custom solutions are available on request. Feasibility assessed based on drawings.
Frequently Asked Questions
1. When is investment casting preferable over sand casting?
Investment casting is ideal for producing small to medium-sized components—think golf ball to basketball. For anything larger than that, sand casting is the better choice.
2. Is investment casting an expensive process?
Investment casting is expensive only when machining tolerances are required at IT-4 and below. In most cases, investment casting is the more economical choice due to near-net-shape output and lower requirements for secondary operations.
3. Is investment casting appropriate for complex geometry?
Yes, investment casting is a suitable manufacturing process for creating components with complex geometry. Creating wax patterns enables us to introduce and produce intricate designs that would have been impossible with standard manufacturing practices.
4. Do you help with prototyping before production?
Yes, we help you with prototyping before production. Our designers work with your team to create and deliver prototypes in as little as 5 days.
